2024 Pinot Noir, Sorellini
2024 Pinot Noir — Sorellini
A subtle play on the Italian word for “sister” (la Sorella), Sorellini is a more generous and fruit-driven expression of Pinot Noir, crafted from select barrels of riper lots from our Biodynamically farmed Estate Vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains.
Made from 100% Estate-grown Pinot Noir, this wine reflects the elegance and depth of Lachini Vineyards with a fuller, more luscious style. Native yeast fermentation and careful barrel selection reveal a wine of remarkable purity, finesse, and balance.
Tasting Notes
Ruby red in color, this beautifully expressive Pinot Noir offers aromas of wild strawberries, red cherries, freshly tilled soils, orange rind, rose petals, and subtle spice. The palate is lush and silky, layered with ripe cherry, savory wild mushroom, and hints of vanilla. Bright acidity and refined tannins provide structure and balance, leading to a long, savory finish.
Complex, polished, and wonderfully approachable, Sorellini can be enjoyed now or cellared for further development over the next decade.
Winemaking
The 2024 vintage benefited from an exceptional growing season with minimal disease pressure and ideal ripening conditions. Thoughtful canopy management during summer heat events helped preserve freshness and complexity. The final blend was selected from six barrels, entirely Quintessence and François Frères, with 100% native yeast fermentation. Bottled unfined and unfiltered to preserve character, texture, and depth.
