2024 Cuvee Giselle Pinot Noir, Chehalem Mtns

The purity and gracefulness of 2024 vintage is evident in this Giselle. The flavors are all extraordinary in their richness, and yet are not heavy nor rough. The crafting of the wine is a marvel of harmony with very fine and noble tannins bringing a silky roundness to the finish – what is termed ‘gras’ in Burgundy. The acidity adds a touch of energy to the wine which explodes with ripe cherries amongst other intense and lingering flavors. The wine is very well balanced with a beautiful structure that will enable the wine to age and improve remarkably through the years.
Decant for 30 minutes to enjoy in its youth, or cellar for increased layers & nuances from now until 2030 –and likely much longer.

Polished and seductive. Deep ruby-red, the initial nose bursts with vibrant bouquet of focused ripe cherries and with expressive notes of rose petal and violet. Subtle spice and mineral notes intertwine with black truffle and a touch of mocha. The palate enters with layers of sweet red fruits, pomegranate, ripe plums with tea and anise flavors ultimately intermingling dusty underlying wet forest floor nuances. Cuvee Giselle’s distinctive personality is marked by a lovely richness nicely integrating the underlying acidity which leads to a beautiful, long, silky finish. Will reward cellaring. Age 2-10+ years.
