2021 Pinot Gris, Oregon 750ml
TASTING NOTES
The 2021 Pinot Gris is loaded depth and offers precision, a pleasing freshness and verve. Aromas of flint, stone, honey and lemon cake leading to a strikingly intense palate accented by caramelized green apple notes. First thought on the palate is ‘WOW’ as the mouthfeel is velvety and different than what would be expected given the steely nose. Apple and subtle tropical flavors intertwine perfectly with the lively acidity. Concludes clean, dry, with a touch of mineral and an uplifting texture that lingers. 399 cases produced
Aged 7 months in Nomblot concrete eggs & stainless steel tanks, without malolactic fermentation. The grapes were cooled prior to processing. Whole cluster pressing took place in order to capture the essence and freshness of the fruit. Each lot was fermented separately, ultimately blended, aged and stirred gently on the lees and fermented to dry. Select yeasts were chosen to complement and preserve the fresh varietal components.
